About
Guy Tweed
Guy Tweed is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve
University School of Law and entered the practice of law in 1974
as a VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) attorney with the
Cincinnati Legal Aid Society. Since that time he has used the
law to protect the rights of thousands of individuals in a myriad
of forums, including trial and appellate courts throughout the
state of Ohio. Mr. Tweed remains committed to the principle that
justice in America requires real accessibility to the legal system
for all.
Bankruptcy
Practice
Mr. Tweed has found that the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
is possibly the most effective Consumer Protection
legislation in existence today. When used properly, the Bankruptcy
Code provides a safe haven for an orderly reorganization of the
financial life of an individual, and, at the same time, allows
for the treatment of all legitimate claims in a fair and equitable
manner. Like all tools, bankruptcy can be abused, but when used
properly, a bankruptcy frequently results in a win-win situation

Civil
Litigation
Mr. Tweed is an experienced litigator at both the
trial and appellate court levels. When the interests of his clients
require court action, he is ready, willing and able to fully and
aggressively litigate their claims. At the same time, he recognizes
that litigation can be both expensive and time-consuming and is
frequently not the best or most cost-effective way to resolve
a controversy.

Probate
Practice (Estates and
Guardianships)
The
Ohio Probate Code is designed to and does protect the interests
of those who are unable to protect themselves or who are beneficiaries
or creditors of a decedent’s Estate. The
Ohio probate procedure, however, can be both complicated and expensive,
and there are serious financial consequences that can result from
not properly attending to the probate process. Complicating matters,
individuals frequently encounter the probate process at an emotionally
difficult time in their lives. Mr. Tweed strives to help his clients
through the probate procedure in a competent and cost effective
manner, keeping in mind the emotional difficulties that are sometimes
